The name recalls a train,

the Dixie Flyer,

which in the early 1900s

crossing the United States,

from Chicago to Florida,

making stop to the cities

that more have been significant

in the history of Jazz.

 

As in a journey,

the group proposes again

the traditional repertoire

Jazz and Blues

of the early 1900s.

 

The group,

in addition to

purely musical activity,

in his repertoire he has

monographic performances

or thematic, among them

a path,

between music and storytelling,

which traces

the history of women

that have crossed

the blues music's scenes

since the 1920s.

This women were defined

Black Pearls,

name that also gives

the title to the show.
